vStacks is used to view and annotate data analyzed by the Stacks pipeline - a population genomics software package. vStacks is a Mac OS X “front-end” application that can read data produced by the Stacks “back-end” software. vStacks gives the experimenter a visualization of thousands of loci and their polymorphisms in scores of populations and hundreds of individuals.
Stacks is a software pipeline for building loci from short-read sequences, such as those generated on the Illumina platform. Stacks was developed to work with restriction enzyme-based data, such as RAD-seq, for the purpose of building genetic maps and conducting population genomics and phylogeography.
Stacks is available from the UO at the Cresko Lab.
vStacks is available from the Mac App Store.
